Conference Overview

The Spina Bifida Resource Network (SBRN), in conjunction with the NJ Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI), is pleased to present a Spina Bifida Conference: Empowerment through the Lifespan, for individuals with spina bifida or other disabilities, their families, friends, and professionals who work in the field, at the Lakeview School in Edison, NJ on Saturday, October 22, 2016.

At the conference, participants will attend interactive sessions and workshops on a variety of topics related to healthcare and independent living, presented by specialists in the field.  Health professionals will address the latest information on topics such as urology, neurology and surgical care, and other experts will address issues such as advocacy, long-term planning, healthy living and social relationships.  A light breakfast and lunch will be served and there will be opportunities for participants to visit with vendors who will be presenting their products and services throughout the day.

Registration

Registration will open at 8:00 a.m. Registration Fee is $15.00 per person.  A limited number of scholarships are available for those for whom the registration fee would be a financial burden.  Please contact the SBRN office for information at 908-782-7475 or info@theSBRN.org.

Transportation

SBRN is working with Mobility Works to provide accessible transportation from the Metropark Station in Iselin, NJ.  This is an accessible station that is serviced by NJ Transit trains and buses as well as Amtrak.

Free accessible transportation from the station will be provided by Mobility Works in the early morning and late afternoon for specified times only.  Pre-registration is required for Pick-Up and Drop-Off. We will contact you to arrange times after you have registered.  We will do our best to accommodate you during the specified times.
