Dear Friends, We need your help more than ever! As you know, I’m participating in the Walk for Empowerment in Somerset, NJ on June 7thto raise awareness about Spina Bifida and to raise funds for the nursing and family support coordination that the Spina Bifida Resource Network (SBRN) provides to children and families. The State of NJ has eliminated all funding for the services SBRN provides to children under the age of 21. In spite of this setback, SBRN has continued to provide nurses and family support coordinators to families’ homes, school meetings, medical visits and hospital beds to provide assistance, training, advocacy, comfort and support as needed. SBRN is committed to continuing services to children with Spina Bifida, however, now they need our support even more. I have been personally touched by Spina Bifida, and I hope that you will consider supporting my efforts to help SBRN and the children and families it serves. There are a few ways to do this:
